Scot made me aware of Jorn's recent The Duke album. I have heard Jorn do some oldschool covers and he does them very well, but he always sounded too Coverdale to me, sometimes to the point of distraction.
But, since I have been listening to The Duke, I can get beyond that. I am still familiarizing myself with the songs and I like a couple of them a good bit. Upon first listen there was one song that made this album get repeated spinnings instead of one play and on to the next cd. Ironically it is a song I could see Coverdale Whitesnake doing easily. Or Gene Simmons of KISS as it is very saucy. And metal.

Ooooh Art, don't get me started on what I think of Jorn Lande. You know he hugged me @ a DIO show back in 2000 when he was the singer for Malmsteen and I don't know if he went backstage and doused himself with cologne but I didn't want to ever wash the smell of him off of me.......Very NIce.
Speaking of "covers," found this DIO one. Not bad, but I can understand your issue Art, he does sound distractingly identitcal to Coverdale in a lot of his songs. Thats not bad I guess if you like Coverdale!

Cool Jorn story, iBeaux. I wonder if he will tour the US when his new record comes out in a couple months.
