Star Wars: If something is on TV I judge it differently than if they want me to pay 6 bucks for it. Plus, seeing how this is produced by someone other than Lucas, you would think that person would be fired up about being able to play with these characters. But this thing just limps along. And the fight scenes, which, if developed with a sprinkling of creativity, could have made the thing exciting, instead are so repetitive and disjointed they actually put me to sleep.
Jack Black: He's a mixed bag. I find him either extremely funny or kind of lame. One thing I appreciate is his fondness for metal, sci fi, etc. His subject matter kicks him up at least one level. Plus - he's hilarious in Tropic Thunder.
I edited the review post. Be Kind Rewind really only deserved 3 squids (based on the first 60 % of the movie.)
For the record, I think the Tenacious D movie is a failure.
