RE: POSTS DELETED BY THE OFFICIAL BOARD

LOL Thats was funny to read. Thanks for the captures. It appears though that HM and Devin succeeded in deleting some of the posts before they got captured. Esp. the one where DioSabbath4ever suggested HM "grow a pair" and try using his own words to express his opinion and not just quoting some "Society." I couldn't agree more. After all, we can quote people all day long but how can one represent their true opinion if they always use someone elses words to convey it. Maybe it's just me....

The unfortunate thing here is no matter how many fans oppose the ODS and the stringent rules, they will not change. It's up to the individual DIO fans to decide they don't care to participate, leave and allow those who enjoy the private club atmosphere to remain there for the blind-sided fluffing.

So many gates. So few threads and houses.

This is not good. I just went to the ODS and found my post count was reduced by another 40. So I have unsubscribed from there. But would like to set the record straight. They say my count is 480. Two weeks ago it was 535. Where are those missing posts????

After having posted over a thousand times as a fan of Dio at the ODS there is a conspiracy to limit my total to under 500. Stop moaning you say? No! The mods are cooking the books. Mods totals are over 4,000 on some of them. Just another scam!! Someone must be paying off Dio to look the other way as he loses one fan at a time until guess what? There will be no more Dio fans able to post online. They become fed up with it.

Do other major rock singers hire incompetents to run their web boards? If this board didn't censor then the F word would be used a lot.

Sounds kind of Orwellian, Dusty.

1984 was the worst Van Halen album.

I thought Diver Down had that honor.

OU812 or any other Sammy was worse. But this is not the place to discuss Van Halen. Or can we?

I thought we were talking just DLR albums. You think 1984 is worse than all the Hagar albums?

And as far as discussing VH in the Dio Message Board forum, why not? It's all good.

Uh... the first Van Hagar album was the best. Of the Hagar albums that weren't Montrose. The first Montrose album was better than 1984. That's all I know about Sammy Hagar music. Space Station #5, Bad Motor Scooter and Rock Candy. Never bothered with the fake Van Halen crap.

There's hope yet for the 8-track generation.

I never spoke out against the 8-track generation.

I was a big Sammy Solo fan, and I remember when hearing the news that Sammy had joined VH, I was VERY disappointed, as I thought VH was pretty gay by this time..and I thought it would 'ruin' Sammy!  smile.gif

I liked his early stuff, like : Trans Am, Red!, Plain Jane, etc. that era stuff...it's pretty basic, but then so was the Montrose stuff, which I thought was killer!

Rock Candy, and Make it Last are still two of my fav tunes...though, every tune on that first LP was/is stomping! Ted Templemon also produced it, and VH first album (my fav, by far!).

Oh yeah as to the first Montrose album. Here's a admission of lameness. I bought a Van Halen concert dvd for $6.99 called "Live Without a Net" that has Sammy as singer. From the mid-80's era. I call it the comedy concert. Besides Hagar you gotta check out Eddie's gay lookin' guitar. It has no tuning keys! Like they gave him a chopped off piece of crap and he went on stage with it!!
