May not come as a surprise, but DIO did a HELL of a GOOD job while playing in Oslo on friday.
The band was excellent as usual, and with some surprises in the set list it was a very enjoyable evening!
Sentrum Scene, which take about 1800, was almost packed, and it was a great atmosphere! No Sabbath-songs!
Setlist:
Holy Diver Killing The Dragon The Eyes Don't Talk To Strangers Sacred Heart Rainbow In The Dark Temple Of The King Kill The King Lord Of The Last Day Rock'n Roll Children Stand Up And Shout Man On The Silver Mountain Catch The Rainbow Long Live Rock'n Roll
Ronnie's rejoining Black Sabbath is proving to be a win-win for his solo shows. It frees up a good bit of the set for some more solo songs. "Sacred Heart" is an interesting addition. Has it been played since the Sacred Heart tour? "Killing the Dragon" and "Lord of the Last Day" are also welcome returns. I would have liked to see "One More For The Road" instead of "The Eyes" as the token MOTM track.
